With a free trade agreement signed by Syria and Iran going into effect on March 20, Syria has lifted all trade barriers on Iranian goods, IRIB news reported.
In a circular, Syria's economic minister said Syrian businesses can import goods certified to be Iranian with the customs tariffs spelled out under the two countries' free trade agreement.
Syrian businesses can export their merchandise to Iran under the same conditions.
Iran and Syria's trade totalled $300 billion in the last year, an amount that is expected to grow as the two allies' free trade agreement is implemented.
