Naval forces of Iran and Oman will hold joint military exercises, Assistant Chief of Operations Staff of Iranian Armed Forces, General Mustafa Salami said on Tuesday, an Iranian news agency FARS reported.
Salami said the joint military exercises will be held in the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas.
Responding to questions of journalists after the meeting of the Defence Committees of Iran and Oman in Tehran, Salami said that an agreement reached between these structures to expand military cooperation.
"Agreement on exchange of students of military schools, joint exercises, and participation of observer experts from the two countries at the exercises conducted in Iran and Oman is reached at the joint meeting of the committees" Salami said.
