Ecuadorian Minister of Foreign and Trade Affairs Ricardo Patinio said on Wednesday Iran will construct a hydro power plant in Ecuador, IRNA reported.
He told reporters after a meeting with Minster of Energy Majid Namjoo in Tehran that an Iranian company will soon start impmenting the project.
Pointing to his negotiations with Mamjoo, Patinio said his country allocated a credit of 400 million dollars to buy oil by-products from Iran.
"Iran and Ecuador have agreed to implement some projects which will be followed up by a joint committee composed of the two countries' ministers of energy, housing and head of Ecuadorian National Water Institute," he said.
