Iran's first shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) will be ready to export by late 2013.
The Managing Director of the Iranian LNG Company (ILC), Ali Kheirandish made this statement at a meeting of Basij members in the Persian Gulf town of Kangan, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reports.
When the LNG production project is inaugurated, Iran will produce and export 8.1 million tons of liquid gas annually, Kheirandish said.
ILC director said that about $49 million would be paid annually in taxes to the town of Kangan within the project.
