Iran will be building a huge, 200 acres anti-aircraft shield in south of the country, Deputy Khatam Al Anbiya base commander Mohammad Hosseini said, Fars reported.
Hosseini said that the shield construction has already begun in Iran's Abadeh county.
Establishing one such base would cost some $24 million, which will include military complex and hosting personnel of some 6,000 people.
Hosseini did not disclose any details on the shield's purpose.
