IRI Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Thursday that the 8th round of Iran-G5+1 talks in Almaty heralded a very promising future.

Salehi made the remarks in an interview with IRNA in Vienna on Thursday.

The 8th round of talks between Iran and G5+1 was held on Tuesday and Wednesday in the former Kazakh capital, Almaty.

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili on the last day of talks with G5+1 said the offers proposed to Iran in this round of talks were much more realistic compared to the previous ones in Moscow.

Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of his meeting with his Austrian counterpart, Salehi termed the outcome of the meeting very fruitful.

During talks, the two sides reviewed mutual ties as well as regional and global developments including the crisis in Syria.

The two foreign ministers were very optimistic about the prospects of talks between Iran and G5+1, Salehi said.

The two ministers also called for exchange of visits by the two sides' officials to help broaden relations between the two countries.
