Two boats from Saudi Arabia have been seized in Iranian waters, by Iranian police, Fars news agency reported.
Head of Iran's Mohshahr marine base, Kerem Reza Piryaei said that 10 people were arrested after the boats were seized.
He added that most of the people were Saudi Arabia nationals, with some India nationals among them.
According to a report from Iran's Police website, the people were fishing illegally in Iranian waters, which resulted in arrests. The report also said that 220 kg of fish was found on the boats.
The case was later submitted to Iran's judiciary system.
In January, Fars reported Iran's coast guard seizing two Saudi fishing boats after they allegedly strayed into Iranian waters.
The report by Fars agency quotes the local coast guard commander in southern Iranian port of Bushehr as saying the guard detained all 10 of the boat's crew members, all of them Indian nationals.
Fars said Iran released another Saudi fishing boat and its four crew members after it briefly seized the boat and its crew earlier in January. Prior to that Saudi Arabia's coast guard detained 21 Iranians on two fishing boats on similar charges.
From time to time Iran and other Gulf states detain fisherman who cross into territorial waters.
