Deputy Foreign Minister in North Africa and the Middle East Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdullahian visits Moscow on Tuesday to discuss current situation in Syria as well as bilateral relations between Iran and Russia, IRNA reported.

According to the report of Iran's embassy in Russia, Amir-Abdullahian is to negotiate on current unrest in Syria and ways to peacefully settle the problems with representative of Russia's president and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

Talking about international meeting dubbed as 'Geneva 2' is among issues to be discussed with senior Russian officials.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently underlined necessity of Iran presence in 'Geneva-2' meeting and declared that this meeting without Iran's participation would fail.

While a camp of Western-Arab countries, under leadership of the USA, are trying to hold the meeting without Tehran participation, Moscow believes that presence of neighboring countries of Syria in the meeting is quite necessary.
