An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale jolted the city of Khoy in northwestern Iran on Tuesday, IRNA reported.
The quake occurred at 17:52 hours local time (1322 GMT), said an official with Western Azarbaijan seismological center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute.
Force four quake or below is not strong enough to cause casualties or damage.
