Iran's President-elect Hassan Rohani visited the grand ayatollahs during his travel to holy City of Qom, Fars news agency reported on July 4.
According to the agency report, solving the economic problems and foreign policy were top of the agenda during these talks.
Grand Ayatollah Lotfollah Safi Golpaygani said that in foreign policy 'we should pay attention to cooperation and dialogue with international communication'.
He added that peace and friendship with other countries are the main purpose of Iran's foreign policy.
Rohani underscored his intention to boost relations with the international community and the elimination of the nuclear dispute.
Rohani will take the presidency in a few weeks. He also visited other grand Ayatollahs, including Naser Makarem Shirazi and Nouri Hamadani.
