The main loser in any war in the region is the side that starts the war in the first place, Iranian Defense Minister, Hussein Dehghan said during his initiated phone talk with his Syrian counterpart, Fahd Jasem Al-Freij, IRNA news agency reported.
He went on to note that, Iran is carefully pursuing sensitive regional security issues.
Dehghan also said that fair peaceful and political solutions should be used in the issue, adding that intervention in Syria would cause the crisis to expand to other countries.
For his part, the Syrian defense Minister dismissed claims accusing the Syrian government of using chemical weapons, adding that terrorists have used chemical weapons to get more support from their regional and trans-regional supporters.
He also said that, Syrian army and people are ready to confront any military attack.
Some Western and regional countries supported intervention to Syria, after another escalation of situation in the country. On August 21 Media outlets informed about the large-scale use of chemical weapons near Damascus by the Syrian Government Troops.
According to the preliminary data, over 600 people became the victims of the attack.
National Coalition of Syrian Opposition claims that the number of victims could reach 1,300 people. After the incident the parties of the conflict repeatedly declared about their innocence, and accused the opponents.
Earlier the US president declared that the use of chemical weapon will be a "red line" for Bashar Assad regime.
