Former head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization Fereydoon Abbasi has criticized Iran's President Hassan Rouhani`s latest comments on the country's nuclear deal with the West, Fars news agency reported on Dec. 10.
"The centrifuges should spin," President Rouhani said on Dec. 7. "But the life of people and the economy also need to spin."
"The West wants to dictate us the spin type of centrifuges and former top-nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili was aware of that," Abbasi said.
He added that Rouhani did not mention that our nuclear centrifuges should spin empty or full.
Jalili who is a hard-line politician led an Iranian nuclear negotiation team during ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad`s administration. He was an unsuccessful candidate in June 2013 presidential election, ranking third.
The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for medical research instead.
Abbasi also criticized the Genava nuclear deal, accusing Rouhani`s administration of making current negotiation team heroes.
"If Jalili offered 10 percent of the Geneva deal's privileges to the Western countries during the previous negotiations, he would be Iran's president by now," he added.
On November 24, Iran and the P5+1 reached a deal in Geneva after several days of hard work and intensive negotiations. After the agreement, Iran has agreed to curb some nuclear activities for six months in return for sanctions relief.
Former head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization also underlined that Islamic republic's enemies has started sabotage on the country's nuclear facilities in the last 5 years.
Abbasi also accused IAEA`s inspectors of cooperating with the "enemies".
"IAEA`s inspectors came to Iran to monitor the sabotage operations result," he said.
Abbasi also criticized Rouhani saying that the new administration has forgotten him.
