Iran and Georgia have created a joint Chamber of Industry and Trade, ISNA reported on March 8.

The opening ceremony of the chamber took place in Tbilisi and was attended by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and Oceania, Ebrahim Rahimpour, who also made a speech during the event, according to the report.

The ceremony was also attended by Georgian officials.

Rahimpour, during his speech, said the trade potential between Iran and Georgia is very high and it is necessary to further enhance the trade between the two countries.

The deputy FM also said it was agreed upon to hold a joint meeting of the countries' economic commissions soon and that this meeting will create an environment for further enhancing trade between the two countries.
