Iranian defence minister to attend Security Conference in Moscow

Iran's defence minister will pay an official visit to Russia this week at the invitation of his Russian counterpart.
Hossein Dehghan will attend the 3rd International Security Conference due to be held in Moscow on May 23-24, Iran's Mehr news agency reported on May 20.
The minister will give a speech at the conference on the Islamic Republic's viewpoints on the international security.
The 3rd International Security Conference which is organized by the Russian defense ministry, will be devoted to discussions on global security and ways to settle regional conflicts with the focus on the situation in Afghanistan in light of the upcoming withdrawal of the NATO-led contingent.
The conference will also touch on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, according to the Russian foreign ministry.
The representatives from 50 countries as well as regional and global organisations will participate in the conference.
