An Iranian court has lifted a ban on the reformist Ghanoon newspaper and ordered it to pay a fine related to the charge of "publishing untrue information," Iran's official IRNA news agency reported on August 4.

The newspaper will resume publishing in few weeks. It was earlier announced that publishing of some reports about the former head of the Iranian fuel management committee was the reason behind the newspaper's ban on May 7.

The privately owned, non-governmental Tehran- based Ghanoon (Law) newspaper has been published since October, 2012 and launched initially as an online news website in August 2011.
