Thirty rail ambulances will be put into operation, Director of Iran's Emergency Medical Services Organization Pir Hossein Kulivand said, Trend reports via IRNA.

The project has been realized according to the agreement between Emergency Medical Services Organization and Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (IRIR).

Firstly, rail ambulances will start operation in Iran's Shahrud city, and then in Hamadan, Kulivand said.

Kulivand noted that presently, there are 3,000 emergency/ambulance stations in Iran. Moreover, 41 helicopters and 320 motorcycles provide emergency medical care, he added.
