Trend:

Iran Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Farshad Moghimi has announced , the auto presale without the Ministry's approval and official license is illegal in the country.

The official recommended the car buyers to be cautious over the identity of car selling companies and avoid any financial abuse, Trend reports citing ISNA.

"The companies with licenses are bound to report their pre-sale activities weekly to the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization and Deputy of Industrial Affairs," he said.

"The companies should follow the allowed celling for pre-sales and give access to the Producers Protection Organization sale system to monitor their work," he said.

Tehran Prosecutor General recently warned the citizens over auto pre-sale calls, however the warning did not include the car pre-sales by the public companies and automakers like Iran Khodro and SAIPA.

The Prosecutor General said the people should be aware of the unknown deceiving companies.

Following the devaluation of national currency, the Iranians rushed to invest their money in profitable items, including cars, which in turn caused a jump in prices of vehicles in the country.
