Floods, snow and blizzards are observed in 10 provinces of Iran, said Morteza Salimi, director of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Rescue and Relief Organization, Trend reports referring to Fars News Agency.
According to him, one person died because of mudflows in Iran’s southern Khuzestan Province.
Salimi added that severe floods, snow and blizzard are observed in the provinces of Yazd, Markazi, Mazandaran, Lorestan, Kermanshah, Fars, Semnan, Khuzestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiyari, and Ilam.
Salimi remarked that assistance was provided to victims in 33 cities, villages and mountainous areas.
So far, at least 240 people have been housed in temporary settlements.
