Non-oil exports of Iran's Mazandaran Province announced

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. The export of non-oil products from Mazandaran province, located in the north of Iran, amounted to 324,000 tons worth $54 million during the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024), Chairman of Industrial, Mining and Trade Organization of Iran's Mazandaran Province Nadali Kohensal said, Trend reports.

According to him, the export of non-oil products from Mazandaran Province in weight terms increased by 69 percent over 2 months compared to the same period last year.

The official did not specify whether non-oil exports increased or decreased in value terms.

Kohensal stated that mainly milk and dairy products, fish products, cement, rubber materials, citrus fruits, etc. are exported from Mazandaran province.

The official added that $318 million worth of non-oil products were exported from Mazandaran province in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's exports of non-oil products in the last Iranian year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Compared to the previous year, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
