BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia increased by 4.7 percent in value terms and 37.9 percent in weight terms in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024) compared to the same month of last year, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to statistics, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia for the first month amounted to 335,000 tons worth about $124 million.
The statistics indicate that Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia in the same month of the previous year amounted to 243,000 tons worth $118 million.
Furthermore, statistics show that the main commodities exchanged between the two countries are petrochemical products, agricultural products, glassware, industrial products, raw silk, cotton, timber wood materials, etc.
Iran's trade turnover with Russia in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) was about 5.54 million tons worth about $2.64 billion. Compared to the previous year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Russia increased by 13.6 percent in value and 36.9 percent in weight.
To note, during the first month, Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to $5.91 billion. The trade turnover decreased by 12 percent compared to the same month last year.
