BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. Power generation potential in Bushehr province, located in southern Iran, increased by 1,200 megawatts over the past three years, executive director of the Electricity Distribution Company in Bushehr Province Gholam Reza Hashmati said, Trend reports.
According to him, a potential new thermal power plant with a capacity of 600 megawatts was put into operation in Bushehr province within the mentioned period, and 600 megawatts were added to electricity generation with the commissioning of renewable energy power plants.
The official stated that 400 megawatts will be added to the potential of power generation in the province in the next few months.
However, it should be noted that three years ago, the power generation potential in Iran's Bushehr province was about 3,000 megawatts.
To note, the potential for power generation in Iran's Bushehr province is currently 93,024 megawatts.
