The draft requires the Iranian government to build and put into operation nuclear power plants with a capacity of at least 7,000 megawatts in cooperation with the private sector through the Atomic Energy Organization. The fuel of nuclear reactors at nuclear power plants should be provided fully and reliably.
In the field of new reactor production, research and development work should be carried out within ten years, and the reactors should be manufactured and put into operation within the second ten years.
The country must be fully self-sufficient in the production of various types of isotopes and radioisotopes in the fields of health and agriculture.
Iran's Ministry of Energy should buy the nuclear power plants' electricity at the same price as renewable energy sources once this project becomes law. The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran must divert the revenues generated from the sale of electricity to the development of nuclear power plants.
The Department of Science and Technology of the Iranian Presidential Administration should support projects of startup companies operating in the field of nuclear technology.
The National Development Fund of Iran should invest at least $1 billion per year in nuclear power plant development projects for 20 years.
The Iranian Government must pay the Atomic Energy Organization $1 billion from the National Oil Company's crude oil and gas condensate exports for the development of the nuclear industry.
The Iranian Constitution Review Board should approve the mentioned project after the Iranian Parliament adopts it.
To note, Iran is essentially struggling to lift sanctions imposed on the country by the US and Western countries, to withdraw frozen funds in foreign countries, and to lift restrictions on crude oil exports. Meanwhile, the US and Western countries are seeking to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear bomb, keep its nuclear program under control, and reduce uranium enrichment.
