In case of cease-fire in Lebanon, Turkey is ready to discuss the proposals regarding dispatch of peacekeeping troops, T.Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister, made such a statement in his speech on SNN TV channel.
An urgent meeting was held in New York in line with the UNO to study the opportunities of sending peacekeeping troops. On behalf of the secretary general of UNO Cofe Annan, such proposals were forwarded to several countries as well as Turkey, special correspondent of Trend in Ankara reports.
Earlier, the advisor of the USA Foreign Ministry Fil Zelikov, who visited Ankara also held consultations with Turkish deputy foreign minister Ali Tuygan in relation with the opportunities of placing Turkish peacekeepers in Lebanon.
