(Zaman) - British Muslims being targeted for the plot being referred to as the second September 11 plan, which was foiled by British security last week, sent a letter of warning to the British government.

Prominent British Muslims forwarded British Prime Minister Tony Blair an open letter in which they emphasized that the governments Middle East policy encouraged radicalism, and made the country a target for terror attacks, reports Trend.

Six members of Britains Muslim Council and Blairs Labor Party also signed the letter that was signed by 38 foundations including the Britain Muslim Union.

British Muslims harshly criticized Blair for supporting the United States Iraqi, Afghanistan and Lebanese policies and stressed they are against any form of terrorism.

"The debacle of Iraq and now the failure to do more to secure an immediate end to the attacks on civilians in the Middle East, not only increases the risk to ordinary people in that region, it is also ammunition to extremists who threaten us all," The Independent newspaper quoted the letter as saying.

The U.S.s key ally in Iraqi War, the Blair administration, was accused of giving the green light to the Lebanese attacks.

Muslims living in Britain are concerned of becoming the target of racially motivated attacks following the news of the foiled terror attack plan.

Muslims believe the British police are prejudice against them, and many worry about whether the terror attack was really prevented or not.
