(Iranmania.com) - (IranMania) - More than half of Iran's non-oil exports find their way to Islamic states, said an official on Tuesday, IRNA reported.
Director General of Commercial Planning Department at Iran's Trade Development Organization Mehdi Fathollah said on Tuesday that export of goods and services from Iran to Muslim states grew by 75% to dlrs six billion in the Iranian year of 1384 (March 2005 - 2006) compared to a year before, reports Trend.
Fathollah said that Muslim countries with a population of 1.3 bln, having more than one third of the world's oil and gas resources, can have a lion's share in global transactions.
He noted that expansion of trade and economic relations with Islamic countries and entry to the countries' markets can leave a huge impact on national economic growth and development of country's non-oil exports.
