(IRNA) - Iran has prepared itself to counter any possible sanctions since two years ago, said Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Ali Jannati on Monday.
Commenting on the adoption of the United Nations Security Council's Resolution 1737, Jannati said that the resolution would not affect the will of the Iranian nation for achieving their peaceful nuclear goals, reports Trend.
He stressed that the government's latest decision to replace dollar with euro in international oil trades was made in line with the plans prepared by Tehran to counter any possible sanctions.
"Sanctions are nothing new to the Iranian people who have experienced them during eight-year Iraqi imposed war (1980-1988), said the ambassador.
He stressed that no resolution could ever stop Iranians from pursuing their peaceful nuclear activities.
