If you're in the market for a Blu-ray player, you may be better off ponying up the extra coin and getting the NEC LaVie C laptop instead, given that it packs in not only a Blu-ray drive but also an HDMI port for outputting those 1080 lines of high resolution goodness, reports Trend.
There's no denying that this is a higher-end notebook, and as such, the rest of specs match such a claim. To be powered by Windows Vista, the revitalized LaVie C comes equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2GHz) processor, a Radeon X1600 graphics card, and a 15.4-inch display rocking a 1280 x 800 resolution (I guess to enjoy the 1080p-ness, you'll need to make good use of that HDMI port).
No word on price or availability otuside of Japan.
