Iran’s sedan exports to Azerbaijan increases by 27%

Iran has exported 646 sedan cars to Azerbaijan during the first seven months of the current Iranian fiscal year (from March 21 to Oct. 22).

The figure indicates an increase by 27.16 percent in comparison with the same period of last fiscal year, said Iran's Customs Administration Nov. 11.

The total value of the exported cars amounted to $4.49 million in that period, 10.21 percent more year on year.

Around 32.168 metric tons of spare car parts including radiators, clutches worth $362,485 were also exported to Azerbaijan in the 7-month period.

The Islamic Republic also exported two pickups worth $9100 to the neighboring country in the mentioned period.

Iran exported $95.819 million worth of sedans and car spare parts in total during the first seven months of current fiscal year (Iran's fiscal year starts on March 21).

Tehran's sedan car production stood at 481,819 during the period, indicating an increase by 66.2 percent year on year.

Trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan has surpassed $293 million during the 7-month period, 8.44 percent less compared to the same months of the preceding year.

The Islamic Republic exported $279.28 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during the period (March 21 - Oct. 22), which indicates a fall by 8.91 percent compared to the same months of the preceding year.
