Iran’s sedan exports value to Azerbaijan decreases by 11%

Iran has exported 702 sedan cars to Azerbaijan during the first eight months of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21 to Nov. 22).

The figure remains almost unchanged in comparison with 704 sedan cars the country exported to Azerbaijan during the same period of last fiscal year, said Iran's Customs Administration.

The total value of the exported cars amounted to $4.943 million in that period, 11.75 percent less year on year.

Around 45.712 metric tons of spare car parts including radiators, clutches worth $434,143 were also exported to Azerbaijan in the 8-month period.

The Islamic Republic also exported three pickups worth $24,100 to the neighboring country in the mentioned period.

Iran exported $116.45 million worth of sedans and car spare parts in total during the first eight months of current fiscal year (Iran's fiscal year starts on March 21).

Tehran's sedan car production stood at 612,818 during the period, indicating an increase by 69.7 percent year on year.

Trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan has surpassed $336 million during the 8-month period, 5.37 percent less compared to the same months of the preceding year.

The Islamic Republic exported $322.19 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during the period (March 21 - Nov. 22), which indicates a fall by 5.58 percent compared to the same months of the preceding year.
