Iran’s non-oil exports hit $11B

Iran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $11.64 billion during the first four months of 2015, indicating an increase by eight percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 24.267 million metric tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 14.4 percent less compared with the first four months of 2014, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report published May 30.

Liquefied propane worth $693 million, grid polyethylene film worth $499 million, and tar worth $479 million topped the list of Iran's exported non-oil goods.

Liquefied propane exports registered a 1.4-percent increase compared to the first four months of 2014 in terms of value, meanwhile exports of grid polyethylene film and tar witnessed increase by 34.4 percent and 8.2 percent respectively.

Iran's overall exports excluding the three mentioned goods increased by 7.4 percent in terms of value and witnessed a 17.2 percent decrease in terms of volume compared to the 4-month period of 2014.

The average price for each one metric ton of Iran's non-oil goods in the mentioned period was around $480, which is 26.16 percent more than in the previous year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $27.1 billion during the first four months of 2015. Imports shared 57 percent of the mentioned figure.
