By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran's South Pars phase 12 refinery's daily output has reached 78 million cubic meters, Gamma Company's Baku representative Rasoul Alizadeh told Trend on June 10.
The refinery has been constructed completely and Gamma Company is currently participating in the development of other refineries in phases 14 and 19, the representative added.
Iran says it boosted gas production from the South Pars gas field by 50 mcm per day in the past fiscal year, which ended on March 20. Last year, the output capacity increased by 100 mcm/d and hit 300 mcm/d.
While phase 12 has not reached it nominal capacity of 82 mcm/d, production of 15 mcm/d of gas from phase 18 started last week. The gas of phase 18 is currently refined by refineries in phases 15 and 16.
Iran plans to boost gas production capacity by 100 mcm/d in the current year. Phases 15, 16, 17, and 18 are projected to start early production by March 2016 as well. The four phases are projected to produce 110 mcm per day in total.
Iran plans to inaugurate all phases of the gas field by 2018 and boost its output of this field to 720 mcm/d.
Alizadeh said that the company has cooperated with foreign companies like Total, Hyundai, etc in the establishment of refineries in phases 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, and 10 before.
Phase 1 to 10 of the gas field came on stream by 2009. South Pars has been divided into 24 phases.
According to Alizadeh, Gamma Company intends to expand its market in other countries, including Azerbaijan. "Gamma is willing to carry out construction and installation projects in oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. It is also ready to cooperate with Iranian companies, which have successful experiences of procuring equipment for oil, gas, and petrochemical refineries, and act as an engineering, procurement, and construction contractor in downstream projects in Azerbaijan."
Under engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, the contractor designs the installation, procures the necessary materials and builds the project.
GAMMA has ever since been involved in execution of over 110 projects of various natures with emphasis on oil, gas and petrochemical projects, according to the company's official website.
