Iran's capacity for generating power has increased by about 200 megawatts (MW) as the country launched two new power units.
Iran launched a unit at the Behbahan power plant increasing the capacity by 166 MW, Mehr news agency reported June 8.
Meanwhile, another unit with a capacity of 29 MW was inaugurated at the Hesa power plant in Esfahan.
Iran's power generation capacity currently stands at around 74,000 MW, of that some 12,000 MW account for hydroelectric power plants, 1,000 MW for a nuclear power plant and the remaining for thermal power plants.
