Iran is planning to hold an exhibition aimed at promotion of business opportunities in Turkmenistan August 18.
Ashgabat will host the exhibition namely Iran Project-2016 on oil, IRNA news agency reported. Iran's capabilities on gas and petrochemicals, water and electricity, construction industry as well as engineering and technical services will be presented during the three-day exhibition. Describing Turkey as Iran's major rival in Turkmenistan, Hassan Mortaji, the event director, said that Iranian participants will make efforts to promote the Islamic Republic's capabilities in Turkmenistan.
So far 17 documents on cooperation have been signed between the two countries. Tehran and Ashgabat have earlier announced intention to meet the targeted $60 billion in bilateral trade volume within a ten-year period.
