TSE main index falls by 190 points

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) experienced a fall by 191.2 points or 0.25 percent on Oct. 2 to 77,287.6.

The fall comes a positive start by 178 point increase in the preceding day as the stock market ended the first work day of the week at 77,478.8.

More than one billion shares, valued at about $61.66 million (1.94 trillion rials based on official rate of 31,459 rials per USD), were traded within 81,461 transactions, according to the TSE website.

SAIPA, Tabriz Oil Refining Company and Shazand Petrochemical Company were among the companies that imposed the highest positive effect on the TSE index.

Meanwhile, Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Isfahan Oil Refinery Company and Iran Khodro had the biggest negative impact on the TSE index.

The Price Index lost 68 points or 0.25 percent to end at 27,497.1.

The First Market Index witnessed a fall by 128.7 points or 0.24 percent to 53,921.5.

The Second Market Index decreased by 447.1 points or 0.26 percent to reach 169,970.9.

The Industry Index decreased by 166.9 points or 0.26 percent to stand at 64,387.2.
