Iran introduced three cross-country gas pipeline projects – IGAT 6, 9 and 11 – to foreign investors on Oct. 10 during a meeting of the World Energy Congress 2016 in Istanbul, the spokesman of National Iranian Gas Company Majid Bujarzadeh said, SHANA reports.

He said the projects worth $12 billion will be delivered to foreign and local companies based on build-operate-transfer (BOT), build-own-operate (BOO), and engineering, procurement, construction and financing (EPCF) contracts.

Aside from these cross-country pipelines, Iran also introduced gas storage facility, gas refinery, CNG and mini-LNG plant projects to foreigners, Bujarzadeh added.

The IGAT 6 and 9 were aimed to export South Pars field’s gas to Iraq and Turkey respectively, while IGAT 11 is projected to boost gas supplies from South Pars to Iran’s north-eastern regions.
