An economic delegation from New Zealand is set to travel to Iran on December 3, Iran Chamber of Commerce website reported November 29.

Headed by Todd McClay, minister of trade, the delegation will talk over areas of new energy, drilling, ICT, construction, and education with their Iranian counterparts.

Shortly after sanctions on Iran were removed in early 2016, New Zealand reopened its gates to Iranian businessmen and eased trade conditions with Iran.

Iran-New Zealand trade had fallen to $90 in 2015 when sanctions were in place. However, the trade value has surpassed $200 million since January.
