Iran, China to build joint industrial park

Iran and China will joinly build an industrial park in Iran’s southern port city of Jask, Hormozgan province, Jasem Jaderi, governor of the province, said.

The industrial park will be built in an area of 2000 hectares with participation of Iran’s private sector, Jaderi said, IRNA news agency reported Jan. 9.

The industrial park, which is estimated at $31 million of invesment, will be Iran’s first joint industrial park, he added.

Jask is a vital port for Iran’s oil industry as 20 million barrels of crude oil are stored there. Iranian administration plans to turn Jask into an economic and industrial center and the country's second oil hub for exporting crude oil to different countries.
