The French company Axens has started cooperation with Iran’s Kian Petrochemical Company, Kian’s Managing Director Mohammad Sadq Fazeli said.

He said Axens was selected along with an Iranian company via a tender to conduct conceptual studies about Kian’s projects, Mehr news agency reported February 15.

He added the cooperation with Axens comes shortly after Kian Petrochemical Company signed a deal with Germany’s Linde for technical service in building a petrochemical factory.

Regarding Linde, he said the contract is about engineering service over front-end engineering design (FEED) for olefin units, butadiene, benzene extraction, and other services. The 12-month deal is valued at 34.940 million euros.

Fazeli further said Kian has signed various contracts with other companies such as Shell, Total, Sercobe, Basf, etc.

Kian Petrochemical Company was launched in 2012 in Assalouyeh Petrochemical Complex, south of Iran.
