Iran’s biggest oil terminal has increased its storage capacity so that the country can store all its oil output for 15 days, according to CEO of Oil Terminals Company Piruz Mousavi.

“As 10 million barrels of storage facilities comes on stream in Bahregan to support Kharg Oil Terminal, Iran’s storage capability practically stands at the international level now,” Mousavi told Mehr news agency February 18.

He said the new storage capacity is 35 percent higher than it used to be before inaugurating the new facility.

Just in February Iran inaugurated storage facilities which consisted of eight 1-million-barrel tankers, two 500,000-barrel tankers, and four 250,000-barrel tankers, improving Iran’s crude storage capacity to 38 million barrels.
