Iran’s leading carmaker starts producing two new models

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has attended an inaugural ceremony at the premises of Iran Khodroç which has launched production of two new models.

The carmaker launched the mass production of Dena Plus and also Peugeot 2008, IRNA news agency reported.

According to the report, Iranians have designed Dena Plus but international companies have collaborated in making the required machinery and equipment for the production line.

In the meantime, Peugeot 2008 has been produced by Iran Khodro-Peugeot Joint Venture (IKAP).

Some 233,000 Peugeot vehicles were produced in Iran over the 2016, under the license of the French carmaker.

Iran Khodro is a leading Iranian automaker, producing about 600,000 cars a year.
