Iran’s LPG export reaches new high

Iran’s LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) export reached its highest point of 2017 in July, Mehr news agency reported August 6.

During the seventh month of 2017, Iran exported 381,500 tons of LPG, the report said.

The report added that Iran’s LPG export from January to the end of July reached 1.94 million tons.

Of that amount, 968 thousand tons was exported to China, and some more shipments were dispatched to Indonesia.

Iran’s LPG export to Indonesia follow a last year agreement between the National Iranian Oil Company and Indonesia’s Pertamina. According to the agreement, Iran would export a total of 600 thousand tons of LPG in 14 shipments to Indonesia in 2016 and 2017.
