The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) added 1,024 points to total of 85,768 over the last trading week to October 18.
According to the official website of the TSE, the index of the first market surged by 983 points or 1.679 percent to stand at 59,531 points.
In the meantime, the index of the second market gained 842 points or 0.45 percent to post 189,989.
About 3.031 billion shares, valued at $269.6 million (9.2 trillion rials converted to US dollar according to official rate) were traded for the day.
The value of the traded shares declined by 13 percent compared to the preceding week. Meanwhile, the number of the traded shares fell by eight percent.
