Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization announced Oct. 22 that over 86 million tons of various type of cargo have been loaded/unloaded in the country's ports.
The report, which covers the time period from the beginning of the current fiscal year (March 20), indicates that the total volume of loading/unloading in Iranian ports has increases by 3.6 percent, year on year.
Oil products rank first among the cargo types. Over 27.4 million tons of oil products were loaded/unloaded in Iranian ports, which is 6.8 percent less compared to the same period of the preceding year.
The report, published by Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization, covers transportation activities in Iranian ports of Abadan, Astara, Imam Khomeini, Amirabad, Anzali, Boushehr, Jask, Chabahar, Khorramshahr, Shahid Bahonar, Shahid Rajaei, Fereydunkenar, Qeshm, Ganaveh, Lengeh, Neka and Nowshahr.
