Iran offers cars at Mercantile Exchange

Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) said on its official website that 50 Cerato passenger cars will be offered at the industrial and minerals trading sector of the IME on Nov. 15.

Also various metals including 2,000 tons of billet steel, 500 tons of aluminium ingots as well as 150 tons of molybdenum-sulfur and 10 kilograms of gold bullion are offered in the same sector of the IME for the day.

Meanwhile, 29,540 tons of bitumen and insulation were offered on the IME export ring.

Over 28,474 tons of bitumen, sulphur and other chemicals were also offered at the oil and petrochemical trading sector of the IME.

In the agricultural sector, 800 tons of white sugar, 338,000 day-old chickens and 73,500 tons of wheat were offered.

Over 150 tons of metal scraps and 2 tons of empty barrels of Iranian railways are offered in the IME’s side market on Nov. 15 as well.

On Nov. 14, the IME sold 36,270 tons of polymers, 4,538 tons of bitumen, 22,000 tons of vacuum bottom chemicals were traded on IME’s oil and petrochemical trading floor.

The export pit of IME witnessed trade of 4,350 tons of bitumen and 300 tons of insulation on the same day.

On the other hand, IME traded 2,750 tons of wheat and 89,000 day-old chickens at agricultural trading floor on Nov. 14.

The platform sold 1,500 tons of bitumen and 340 tons of isolation on its export ring as well yesterday.

Furthermore, on the metal and mineral trading floor of IME 11,000 tons of iron beam and 22,122 tons of rebar and I-beam basket were traded. And finally, side market of IME experienced trade of 500 tons of palm oil from Malaysia.

The IME was founded in 2007. It trades in agricultural, industrial and petrochemical products in spot and futures markets.

There are 70 listed brokerage companies in IME who are members of the exchange licensed by the market regulator, the Securities and Exchange Organization.
