Iran offers steel products at Mercantile Exchange

Various steel products including 18,000 tons of slab produced by Khuzestan Steel Company and 4,400 tons of hot rolled steel from Mobarakeh Steel Company is offered in the industrial and minerals trading sector of Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Nov. 20, the IME official website reported.

The trading sector also offers of 10,000 tons slab type C, 8,000 tons of short slab, 2,200 tons of hot rolled steel type B, 2,200 tons of hot rolled steel type C, and 1,200 tons of metallurgical coke as well as 60 tons of aluminum alloy ingot, 5 kilograms of gold ingot and 50 Cerato passenger cars on the same day.

Over 22,344 tons of bitumen, polymers, vacuum bottom, slack wax and terephthalic acid are offered at the oil and petrochemical trading sector of the IME on the day.

In the agricultural sector, 100 tons of imported rice, 56,000 day-old chickens, 169,000 tons of wheat, 100 tons of sunflower raw oil, as well as 3,000 tons of maize are being offered.

Furthermore, 15,000 tons of bitumen and 100 tons of insulation is offered at the export floor of the IME on Nov. 20.

The side market of IME will witness offering of 100 tons of palm oil imported from Malaysia.

The IME was founded in 2007. It trades in agricultural, industrial and petrochemical products in spot and futures markets.

There are 70 listed brokerage companies in IME who are members of the exchange licensed by the market regulator, the Securities and Exchange Organization.
