Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Jan. 10

Gold coin was traded in Iran at 14,912,000 rials (about $343.4 according to the currency rate in Iran's free market) on Wednesday.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,382,650 rials (about $31.8), indicating a 0.96 percent increase compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 52,520 rials in the free market, adding 0.12 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 43,326 rials.

The US dollar was quoted at 43,412 rials in the free market gaining 0.31 percent compared to the preceding day. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 36,219 rials.
