Iran, Pakistan witness considerable growth in bilateral trade

Trade turnover between Iran and Pakistan over the first nine months of the current fiscal year (starting March 20) has surged by 49 percent, an Iranian official said.

Morad Nemati-Zargaran, an Iranian commercial attaché to Pakistan, has said that the value of Iran’s exports to Pakistan in this period has increased by seven percent, IRNA news agency reported.

In the meantime, the value of imports of Iran form Pakistan has grown by 42 percent, he added.

Iran’s exports to Pakistan in the nine-month period valued $634 million and its imports from Pakistan stood at $348 million. The value of trade between the two countries totaled at $982 million.
