Weekly performance of Iran’s gold & currency market

The price of one gram of the 18-karat gold decreased by 2.44 percent over the last Iranian week to stand at 1,473,850 rials (about $33) on the weekend.
The price of Bahar-e Azadi (Spring of Liberty) gold coin gained 5.19 percent over the week and stood at 15200000 rials ($340.8) on the last day of the Iranian week, Thursday.
Meanwhile, the value of the US dollar against Iranian rial in the free market increased by 0.69 percent to post 44,533 rials on Thursday.
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of the US dollar at 37,330 rials on Thursday, an increase of 0.32 percent compared to the preceding week.
According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro gained 0.83 percent to rest at 54,774 rials on the weekend. The official rate of euro decreased by 0.36 percent to stand at 45517 rials.
