Arman Motor Kavir, local auto importer of Luxgen vehicles, plans to open a production line for the Taiwanese automaker’s models in Iran, Arman Motor boss Farzin Torkipor announced.
“Luxgen and Arman Motor have signed an agreement, and preparations for production of (the Taiwanese) firm’s products will be made soon,” Torkipor said on June 30, Khodro Nevis website reported.
The deal has been inked in line with the policies of Iran’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Business to create jobs and boost production, he added.
Torkipor said Arman Motor has carried out field studies and focused on marketing strategies based on the domestic market’s demand to decide which product fits the market well.
The Taiwan automaker made a debut in Iran at the Tehran Auto Show (Nov. 27 – Dec. 1), displaying S3, U5 and U6.
S5 is a compact sedan and comes with two engine options, a 1.8-liter or 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engines respectively putting out 171hp and 191hp.
