Steps should be taken to control the increase of inflation and liquidity in Iran, economic expert Hossein Abdoh Tabrizi said, Tasnim News Agency reported.
He said that liquidity is growing along with the increase in bank loans.
In recent years, banks have asked the Central Bank of Iran to increase liquidity so that they could pay the money they didn’t have, he noted.
This is while the Central Bank cannot convert non-substantial income into cash, he added.
Monetary policy shouldn’t be aimed at producing money, he said.
